Jodido

Lately I've been realizing that the old expression "you learn something new everyday" is true more often than not. For example, I've recently learned that there are more ways of being "jodido" than I ever knew existed (times like these when my attempts at being ZEN are overtaken by the realization that some things in life are just plain shitty and there's no way around it).

In my latest adventure into the world of translation, I have learned yet more ways of expressing being "jodido" then I could ever imagine, and I thought it worthy of sharing with those who have an appreciation for languages:

(From the Collins Diccionario Concise Inglés)

"esto me jode" = "I'm browned off with this"
"jode tener que pagar tanto" = "it's a bugger having to pay all that"
"¿a que jode?" = "it's a bastard, isn't it?"
"¡nos ha jodido!" = "wouldn't we all!"
"¡joder!" = "bloody hell!" or "bugger off!"
"¡que se joda!" = "sod him!" or "stuff him!"
"joderse" = "to get ballsed up"
"jodido" = "bloody awkward" or "damn difficult" or "buggered" or "knackered"
"todo está jodido" = "it's all a bloody balls-up"
"qué guapo es el muy jodido" = "he's a bloody nice-looking guy"

And for the PG-13 audience:
"jolín/jolines" = "crikey!" or "flip!"
"pues, ¡que se jorobe!" = "well, he can lump it!"

Apparently, my English is not as refined as I thought... for fuck sake!
